Rashes are alarming precisely because they are hard to interpret at home. Both UrgentMed clinics evaluate rashes, hives, bites and allergic reactions for adults and children on a walk-in basis, treating the symptoms and identifying the reactions that need closer attention.

- Tetanus assessment after a bite or wound
- Wound cleaning and dressing
- Referral to dermatology or allergy where useful
What to expect at your visit
- Tell us the timeline — when it started, what is new in your environment, medications or foods.
- Examination of the rash and the rest of you, since some rashes are a sign of something systemic.
- Treatment during the visit where appropriate, plus prescriptions sent to your pharmacy.
- Clear warning signs to watch for, and when to come back or seek emergency care.
When to go to the emergency room instead
- Swelling of the lips, tongue, face or throat
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Feeling faint or losing consciousness
- A rapidly spreading rash with a high fever
- Blistering or peeling skin over large areas — call 911

Insurance and self-pay
We accept most major insurance plans, workers’ compensation and auto (PIP) claims, and offer self-pay pricing. Bring a photo ID and your insurance card. Ask the front desk what a visit costs before you are seen — we will tell you.
