Urgent Care That Takes Your Insurance — Health Plans Accepted in Davie & Plantation
Looking for an urgent care that takes your insurance? UrgentMed accepts most major health insurance plans at both Broward County clinics — Davie and Plantation — for walk-in urgent care seven days a week. Bring your card and photo ID; benefits are verified at check-in and the plan is billed directly.
Plans with their own page
Each carrier page explains the card names we see, what an urgent care visit usually covers and what to bring.
How billing works with a health plan
- We scan your card and ID at check-in and verify eligibility electronically; most plans confirm in under a minute.
- Your urgent care copay or cost share is collected at the visit; anything your plan does not cover — school and work physicals, occupational tests, some vaccines — is quoted before it is done.
- Claims go to the plan electronically the same day; you receive an explanation of benefits from your insurer and a statement from us only if a balance remains.
- Employer plans administered by a third-party administrator (UMR, Meritain, Allied, HealthSCOPE and others) use the network printed on the card — bring it and we bill the administrator.
Employer plans and third-party administrators
Many employer plans are self-funded and run by an administrator rather than the insurer whose network they use — the card says UMR, Meritain, Allied Benefit Systems, HealthSCOPE, WebTPA, Boon-Chapman or another TPA, with the network (UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, MultiPlan/PHCS) printed in a corner. We bill the administrator and verify eligibility through the network on the card, so bring the card even if the name is unfamiliar.
Marketplace (ACA) plans
Florida marketplace plans — Florida Blue, Ambetter from Sunshine Health, Oscar, Aetna CVS Health, Cigna, Molina and AvMed among them — are accepted the same way as employer plans. Most are HMO or EPO products, which means urgent care is covered but the plan’s own network applies; check the plan name on your card, and the front desk will confirm before you are seen.
Plans without their own page
A plan not listed above is not a plan we turn away. Bring the card — out-of-state Blue Cross plans through BlueCard, employer plans run by third-party administrators, federal-employee and union plans, student plans and visitor travel insurance are all billed the same way, and the front desk tells you what your share will be before you are seen.
