Urgent Care in Davie & Plantation

Same-day care for illnesses and injuries at two Broward County clinics, with digital X-ray, a laboratory and EKG on site. No appointment and no referral — walk in, or check in online to hold your place. Most visits are finished in one stop because the imaging and the tests happen here rather than somewhere else on another day.

When to walk in — and when to call 911

Urgent care covers the large middle ground between a problem that can wait for your own doctor and one that needs an emergency department. If you are unwell or injured today, are not in danger, and want it dealt with today, this is the right door.

• Fever, cough, sore throat, flu symptoms, sinus and ear infections.
• Cuts that may need stitches, burns, bites, splinters and foreign bodies.
• Sprains, suspected simple fractures, back and joint pain after an injury.
• Urinary infections, rashes and allergic reactions, stomach upset and dehydration.
• Asthma flare-ups in someone who is breathing comfortably, and breathing treatments.

Call 911 or go to an emergency department instead for chest pain or pressure; sudden trouble breathing; signs of a stroke — face drooping, arm weakness, difficulty speaking; heavy bleeding that will not stop; a head injury with confusion, repeated vomiting or loss of consciousness; a severe allergic reaction; a seizure; or an injury with an obvious deformity or bone through the skin. We will tell you plainly and quickly if you are in the wrong place, and we will help you get to the right one.

What we can finish in one visit

The reason a visit here usually ends rather than continues somewhere else is that the equipment is in the building:

• Digital X-ray and an on-site laboratory, with most results during the visit.
• EKG, spirometry and respirator fit testing.
• TB skin and blood tests, vaccines and titers, DOT and non-DOT drug and breath-alcohol testing.
• IV fluids, joint and trigger-point injections, injectable medications and shockwave therapy.
• Wound care and stitches, splinting and bracing, medications dispensed in the clinic and DME supplied at the visit for workers’ compensation and PIP patients.
• Body composition analysis for the medical weight-loss program.

Evenings, weekends and holidays

Both clinics are open seven days a week, including evenings and weekends — the hours that make urgent care useful in the first place, because illness and injury do not keep office hours. Walk-ins are welcome throughout; checking in online first simply means less time in the waiting room.

Choosing between us, the emergency room and your own doctor

Three different jobs. Your primary care doctor knows your history and manages the long-running things — blood pressure, cholesterol, medication reviews, referrals — but usually cannot see you today. An emergency department is built for what could kill or disable you, has the resources to match, and charges and waits accordingly. Urgent care sits between them: today’s appointment for today’s problem, with the X-ray and laboratory needed to settle it, at a fraction of an emergency visit’s cost.

We send your visit summary onward when you ask us to, so your own doctor is not working blind at your next appointment, and we say so when a problem needs following up with them rather than with us. Care here is not a replacement for a primary care relationship — it is what fills the gap when that relationship cannot move fast enough.

How the visit is billed

Most major health plans, Medicare and Medicare Advantage, Florida Medicaid plans, TRICARE and VA Community Care are accepted at both clinics, along with workers’ compensation carriers and auto insurance under Florida PIP — the full list is on the insurance page. Without coverage, self-pay pricing is quoted at the front desk before you are seen, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Bring a photo ID and your insurance card if you have one; neither is required to be examined.

Who we see

Adults, teenagers and children — paediatric urgent care is offered at both clinics, with a parent or guardian signing consent for patients under 18. Visitors to the area are welcome; so are people whose own doctor is elsewhere in Florida or out of state. Patients come from Davie, Plantation, Cooper City, Weston, Sunrise, Southwest Ranches, Pine Island Ridge and Pembroke Pines, and the two clinics are about six miles apart, so whichever is closer to you is the right one.
