Careers at UrgentMed — Urgent Care Jobs in Davie & Plantation, FL

UrgentMed is a physician-led, family-owned urgent care and occupational health practice with clinics in UrgentMed Davie and UrgentMed Plantation, open seven days a week. We hire people who like a busy clinic, a mixed caseload — illness, injury, physicals, workers’ compensation, employer accounts — and patients who thank you on the way out.

Roles we hire for

  • Physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners — Florida license required; urgent care, occupational medicine or emergency experience preferred. FMCSA medical examiner certification is a plus.
  • Radiologic technologists — Florida certification; digital X-ray at both clinics.
  • Medical assistants — vitals, injections, EKG, drug and alcohol collections (DOT collector and BAT training a plus).
  • Front desk and billing — registration, insurance verification, workers’ comp and PIP claim intake, employer accounts.

What working here is like

  • Two clinics about six miles apart with the same equipment and workflow — staff cover both.
  • On-site X-ray, lab and EKG, so a visit is finished in one place; providers see the full picture, not a referral.
  • Employer and workers’ compensation work alongside walk-in care: DOT exams, drug testing, injury care and return-to-work — see what the occupational health side does.
  • Evening and weekend coverage is part of the schedule; the clinics are open seven days a week.

How to apply

Email your résumé to admin@urgentmed.us with “Careers” and the role in the subject line, and tell us which clinic you prefer. Please do not include Social Security numbers or other sensitive identifiers in an email.

What a shift actually covers

The caseload is the reason people stay. A single day moves between walk-in illness and injury, X-ray and laboratory work read in the building, physicals and clearances of every kind from DOT exams to immigration medicals, workers’ compensation injury care with the DWC-25 done at the visit, and DOT and non-DOT collections. If you want a narrow role, this is not it; if you want to stop referring everything out, it is.

The clinics are in Davie and Plantation, serving Cooper City, Weston, Sunrise, Southwest Ranches and Pembroke Pines. Accessibility accommodations for staff and candidates are handled the same way as for patients — see the accessibility statement — and application data is handled under our privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Do you hire new graduates?

Yes, for medical assistant, front-desk and technologist roles, and for advanced practice providers with strong clinical training. Tell us where you are in your career and we will match the role.

Which clinic would I work at?

Most staff work at both — Davie (S University Drive) and Plantation (Cleary Boulevard) are about six miles apart. Tell us your preference when you apply.

Are weekends required?

Both clinics are open seven days a week, so schedules include some evenings and weekends, shared across the team.
