Beyond everyday urgent care, both UrgentMed clinics offer a small set of in-office therapies and procedures that usually mean a specialist referral elsewhere: joint and trigger-point injections, shockwave therapy for chronic tendon pain, IV fluids and vitamin infusions, and body composition analysis. Each begins with a provider evaluation, is performed on site the same day when appropriate, and is priced at the front desk before it is done.

What each therapy is for
- Joint and trigger-point injections — knee, shoulder, elbow and other joint injections, trigger-point injections for muscle knots, and injectable medications (anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, steroid, B12) given in the clinic.
- Shockwave therapy (ESWT) — for plantar fasciitis, tennis and golfer’s elbow, Achilles and patellar tendon pain and other chronic tendinopathies; no injection, no downtime.
- Vitamin infusion therapy — provider-selected components after an evaluation; fluid loss and dehydration are handled as IV fluids for dehydration instead.
- Body composition analysis — a bioimpedance scan of body fat, muscle, visceral fat and metabolic rate, included in the weight-loss program and available to anyone self-pay.
How it works
- Walk in or check in online at UrgentMed Davie or UrgentMed Plantation.
- A provider evaluates the problem — with X-ray or labs on site when they change the plan — and explains whether the therapy is appropriate for you.
- The price is quoted before anything is done. Most therapies are self-pay; injections for an acute injury are often covered by insurance, workers’ compensation or PIP when medically necessary.
- The therapy is performed the same visit, with follow-up scheduled when the plan calls for it.
What we do not offer
UrgentMed lists a therapy on this site only after it has cleared clinical and compliance review. Treatments still under review are not sold, advertised or quoted here or at the front desk; ask the provider at your visit and you will get a straight answer.
