Nationwide PIP Claims: Car Accident Injury Care in Davie & Plantation
Nationwide PIP claims: after a car accident, UrgentMed treats drivers and passengers insured with Nationwide at both clinics — Davie and Plantation — seven days a week, no appointment needed, and bills your personal injury protection (PIP) benefits directly — inside Florida’s 14-day rule, with the emergency-medical-condition evaluation done here.
How the visit works on a Nationwide auto claim
Nationwide is one of the largest personal auto insurers in the United States, writing policies in Florida through its own agents and independent agencies.
- Come in within 14 days of the crash. Florida’s no-fault law requires initial care within 14 days for PIP benefits to apply; walk in any day, or check in online.
- Bring your auto policy or claim number, the date of the accident and a photo ID. Passengers bring the policy of the vehicle they were in, or their own.
- Evaluation with imaging on site. Provider exam, digital X-ray for neck, back and extremity injuries, and treatment for sprains, cuts and concussion symptoms.
- Emergency medical condition (EMC) determination documented when appropriate — it decides whether the $10,000 or the $2,500 PIP medical limit applies to your claim.
- Billing. We bill Nationwide PIP directly — PIP pays 80% of reasonable medical expenses up to the policy limit after your deductible; MedPay, if you carry it, can cover the balance. Records go to your carrier, and to your attorney if you have one, on request.
Injuries we evaluate after a crash
- Neck and back pain, whiplash and muscle strain — examined and X-rayed the same day, with a referral for MRI when the exam calls for it.
- Sprains, fractures and contusions of the wrist, knee, shoulder and ribs from bracing or the seat belt.
- Cuts from glass and airbags, abrasions and minor burns.
- Headache, dizziness and concussion symptoms after a head strike, with written return-to-activity guidance.
- Symptoms that appear a day or two later — stiffness, numbness, headaches — which is why being seen inside the 14 days matters even if you felt fine at the scene.
Documentation for your claim
Every visit produces a dated record of the injury, the examination, imaging results, the diagnosis and the treatment plan — the documentation a PIP claim, a bodily-injury claim against the at-fault driver, or an attorney needs. Records are released to you, your carrier or your attorney with a signed authorization.

If the crash happened on the job
A crash while driving for your job is usually a workers’ compensation claim first — see our workers’ compensation page and tell the front desk both policies so the claim is set up correctly.
